This is the second ranger I have owned but the first out of all the trucks i ever owned to do this. It seems like the engine is shuddering and having lose of power. It will happen going down the road but I can let off the gas and push back down and it will go away momentarily. Also when I start it, it will run good for about 5 mins and then start shaking like it is having a seizure and vibrates the whole truck. Im a decent mechanic but this one has got me for a lose. I need some advice????

it would help to know what engine you have..........what is the maintenance situation? do you have a codes? even pending codes?
Its a 3.0l v6, Its shooting codes but i dont have a code reader and it has so many electrical problems its crazy, thats what is mainly throwing me for a loop. some half asser before me tried to change the heater core and dropped the dash and messed everything up. now the gas or temp gauges do not work, i have no night lights on the tail lights and of course the engine shudder.

well you need to get the codes.....but as you know if you are going to keep it bring the maintance up and that might even solve your issue..........change- plugs, wires, pcv, FUEL FILTER, airfilter, clean the IACV, TB, MAF. .......fuel pressure and the coilpacks are alwasy suspect but get the codes first.......
OK, but you wouldn't think that the wiring problems would falsify the codes any would ya?
probably not...it sounds like your electrical issue are related to the guy pulling the dash ........... plus you got to start somewhere and pulling the codes is the most logical step.....
