The paint is Chrysler Bright Silver Wheel Paint. It has a lot , a whole lot of metalic in it. The grill, dash, and Ford on the tailgate is a darker tint of the silver. The front bumper is still there, it is just mounted to the shortened fram rails behind the pan. In PA you need to have some sort of bumper. I plan on fixing the handles after the interior is finished. I still have a long list of things to do to it before I can say it is finished. The picture of the green truck is the same truck just before I tore it apart. The last photo here is some photoshop work of a set aof rims I am looking at . Any thoughts?
thanks, Phil
Really nice job. Mounting the bumber behind the sheet metal looks great. I like the tailgate bottom molded into the curved stack pockets. Nice work. The rims are similar to the ones like mine. Chrome smoothies. The rears are reversed to give some attitude. I got them from Early Wheel Co. You can get them plain and paint them yourself. The hub caps are the ones I wanted to run, but they wouldn't fit the smoothie wheel. Beautiful truck
The front is lowered with reversed eyed mono springs, as well as a 3 inch dropped axel. It is totally old school, right down to the tie rod running through the oil pan (picture to come). As for the rear, I removed 6 of the 10 leaves and flipped and lowered the hangers so the spings could still be on top of the axel. I would actuall like to get it down an other inch or 2 yet but havn't figured that out yet.
Clean and beautiful in it's simplicity...nice look and great execution. Ya done good!
BTW - don't ruin a good thing by putting on those aluminum wheels, the steelies are perfect IMO.
Beautiful truck man, I like the steel wheels you have on it now. Iwould love to see the pics and detail of how you lowered it, that is my next project...Spike
I love the interior. The simple interiors like that are awesome.
Both sets of rims look great. The ones you have now are more old school which is more to my liking.
