Question another wheel fitment question...

i am wondering if the wheels off an 07 dodge 2500 will fit my 77 f-250? i may have a chance to purchase a set of these wheels for a decent price and i would be running them on my dent if they will fit. the wheels are 17's and 8x6.5 so i'm not sure why they would not fit.. i am still very much a greenhorn to this kind of thing so any help would be greatly appreciated..

thanks,
diesel-kid

According to my 4 Wheel & Off Road "wheel bolt patterns", "the wheel chart", page 66 in the April 2010 issue (you can go online and look it up, great thing to have around) Dodge 3/4 ton 1961-2009 are 8 on 6 1/2, which is what your truck is also.

So I would say yes, to answer your question. And welcome to FTE it a great place to learn that there are always a difference of opinion and facts.

The bolt pattern is the same but the offset is different. The dodge wheels have a very positive offset and might hit the tie rods or calipers.

Is there something he could put in there to keep it from hitting anything?

Kalve asked my question for me, is there wheel spacers i could use to push the wheels out far enough to clear everything? i think the wheels would look alright and my sister is willing to sell me the 17's off her dodge for pretty cheap so. any help is greatly appreciated,

thanks, diesel-kid

I'm not a real big fan of wheel spacers personally. I would try one on the truck and see how it fits, if it's close maybe try one of the 1/8" spacers. Any more than that seems to be asking for trouble.

agreed. i would test fit them and determine the size spacer you need. it it is to much of a spacer i would not trust it
