This morning I was driving to work, heard the loudest sound ever in my experience from an enigine compartment. Through the hood of the truck was this God awful tear (fan blade impact). I have coolant all over the enine compartment and cant find the source (i.e. no apparent sliced lines or busted seals, ect.)
Sounds to me like you lost the bearings in the water pump. Loosen up the belts and grab ahold of the fan and try to shake it around It should be obvious if that is the problem. If it is, take a good look at the back side of the radiator to make sure that the fan didnt hit the radiator. If you have a shroud, it will be a bit harder to see but you could use a mirror to take a look. Again, the problem should be obvious. Also check to see if the radiator has broken loose from its mounting. It may have flopped back into the fan.

Reason: More info
I inspected the radiator the first time I looked under the hood, but I went head once i had my head straight and cooled off. Took a second look and still looked nice a typical radiator no gouges or anything that seemed to be an impact point.
As for the water pump, everything appears to be very tight/ no slop. I'm just trying to find out if this was something I could have prevented or can for futures.
Yes, fans can loose blades. I have friend with a repaired jaw where he was reving the engine while looking for a vibration. Fan blade came loose and broke his jaw. He was lucky it did not get his neck. If you threw a fan blade you should have picked up a vibration.
