need help with clutch!!
i have an 89 bronco with the m5od, i got through or at least think i got through bleeding the clutch today
i need to know a couple things so as not to screw up my clutch or transmission when my truck is completed
first thing id like to know is throw out bearing travel, right now from the looks of it when i shine my flashlight into the bellhousing, im getting about half an inch of travel mabey a hair less. the pedal feels pretty firm when i pump the clutch by hand, but when i pump the clutch with my foot its like butter. another thing id like to note is when i release the pedal really fast i mean like droping the clutch theres a kinda slurping sound coming from the master cylinder dunno if its normal or not im not use to the internal slave cylinder system
one other thing, this may sound kinda stupid but how far does the quick connect for the clutch line stick outta the tranny, mines stickin out about 3/8 of an inch from the slave, i mean fluid is getting into the slave and when i give it a tug it doesnt come out, for some reason it just doesnt look right to me, mabey im just loosing it lol.
please help!!
