It's leaking where the oil filter screws on? Did the rubber gasket from the old filter come off and stick to the housing? Is the plate the filter mounts to damaged or have a gouge in it?

Its a 5.4L . Yes where filter screws on . No gasket still on filter . I cleaned the plate well and put oil on new filter gasket . I removed new filer again and inspected plate nothing seems to be wrong . Called my Mec. and hes known for leaving me hanging . So i went to Napa and they tried to sell me a gasket - but the one that mounts betwween engine and housing .
Ok guys this is whats actually going on . Leak is between oil filter and oil cooler . Heading to Ford Dealer to see if i can order the cooler . Hopefully i dont get raped too bad !
