OT. Need some FTE Engineering
Ok, I just bought a 12v 10,000# winch on Ebay. I have other uses for it, but one of the more important uses I plan is to use it to pull my engine sometime in the near future. My need from the wise ones is coming up with wiring without spending $69 plus shipping. I'm assuming that I'm going to need a fairly heavy relay or solenoid, and a controller. Plus, it's always more fun to put a homemade setup together. Any ideas??

OT, Ray, was that 4 solenoids on your wench or winch. We have the same problem with one of the off road groups I hang out with. We keep getting our wenches and winches mixed up and the wenches get really angry when we connect them to hot circuit or use them to pull something out of the mud. LOL

Probably. I need to pull the engine out of my boat too. That was my first reason flute the winch. Thought I could use it for both
