She's back!

After much work yesterday, she's back!

New trans, new shift kit, and some u-joints. Feels good to drive her again.

Being towed to the shop...


Almost done...


Sitting outside of work..


Much better then driving a little honda around lol

Yea, 32mpg vs 17mpg. I'll miss it at first, but won't care that much. If prices stay there, I'll look into running WVO or something.

yea mike is that shift kit work nice? and how much did ya pick up that tranny for? i may need one soon...

Oh the shift kit is awesome. I did the "street" version and it snaps pretty hard, but it's firm and quick.

Yea the shift kit was great. Was $60 from summit racing. Trans was like $500 from a '97 Stroke. Then I went ahead and got a new converter for $215.

Now I just have to sell the honda, then I can do all the maintenance I've been wanting to do to the truck (new injectors, oil change, diff service, ect).

did you swap the solenoid pack as well?

lol Mike! your nuts! i did the "heavy duty" mode,and that's as firm as id want her.i wounder if you'll get sick of them slamming gears and want to change it latter.
i bet she shifts some fast with that stage.

Yup and also the MLPS sensor from the original '92 trans.

i bet she shifts some fast with that stage.
Oh like the devil it does. It's not jerky or anything but it snaps firm into gear and I can for sure feel when the converter locks up.
