fog lights

I have a 2002 PSD with fog lights that came factory installed. They can only be turned on if the headlights are on. I have seen a few of these trucks driving with the fog lights on while only the running/parking lights on. I was curious if there was something that these people did to modify theirs or was this possible with previous model years?

Check over in the electrical forum. Run a search there and I bet you find what you need.

Try turning your light switch to the auto lamp function (far left) then pull to turn the foglamps on. I have my foglamps on all the time.

I have a 2002, all i do is turn the running lights on then pull the **** out and the fog lights should be on.

I checked the manual and it says that they can only be turned on with the lights on or in the auto position. I do not have the auto function on the far left and the **** will not pull out in the running light position so I guess I'm out of luck. Thanks for the responses.

Thanks for the info and links. These will prove to be a big help. I have found from reading several posts that during the 02 year there have been some changes regarding this and other things such as coolant. Some 02's can run the fog lights with the parking lights on and some can not. Some 02's built in KY have the yellow coolant and some have the green. Again Thanks for the Info. I'll check it out and see what I can do.
