NO, it won't work, you will waste (expensive) paint. If you are trying to paint a frame buy some flowing additive and just brush it, you will get better results.
My opinion is based on a bad experience I had with one of those units many years ago, trying to paint wood with latex paint, so I may be full of sheepdip, someone else may know better, your mileage may vary, etc...hehehe, and if so I will stand corrected.
