Ive been looking all over the place.....ebay, craigslist, online truck equip places, and scrapyards. No one really seems to have any short beds out this way. I did find a place an CO that had a ton of them,but its a little bit of a drive from MA. I'll keep looking and hopefully I'll find one.

Good luck. I've been keeping my eyes open for months to get rid of my rusty bed but can't find anything less than 2-3 grand plus getting them color matched is just as expensive as the bed! I find long boxes everywhere but no short boxes. Let us know where you find one

Heard last year from somebody here that short beds are hard to find and it seems to hold true. My only guess is private or corperate companies want more carring capacity since the SD is more geared to the working community than daily drivers and recreational, just my guess. How far are you willing to travel and what color do you need???

Well, I located one in Maryland. Its off a 08 and its black in color. Really not a big deal since I have a aluminum black contractors shell on it anyway. I will be calling them tomorrow to see if they can send me more pictures. As far as travel, the colser the better. I would hate to go somewhere really out of the way only to find a beat up and worse off bed then the one I have. Color really doesnt matter I already have a good shot of paint left over from when I painted my new hood and fender.
Makes me wish I did get the long bed when I got it 11 years ago.

Call all utility bed dealers within the radius you are willing to travel. They may have some take-offs or may give you some other contacts.
Also call anyone on craigslist that are selling any type of superduty body parts. They may also know where to get one.

I'm another short bed owner looking... I'd rather spend $2-$3k on a bed and keep the truck for a few more years than spend MUCH more than that on a new truck. It does seem tough to fork over that kind of cash though.

I found another bed a little bit closer and in new condition. I think I'll take a road trip next weekend and hopefully grab it. The short beds are definitely out there, just a pain in the a** to find!!

Finally, I got a new/used short bed!! It came off an 07 and its red in color. I'll spend some time sanding the underside and I think I'll treat it with POR-15 and then hit it with a paint on liner. Ten in the spring I'll prime and paint it to match my truck color. Hopefully this bed will last just as long if not longer than the original. I really cant complain....11 years of hard work it is just starting to bubble around the wheel wells and the cross members are like tinfoil.
