Edelbrock Perfomer Torque Specs
I just bought a used Edelbrock Performer Intake to install on a 400 I am about to rebuild. I am in need of the torque specifications for this intake. I will just follow the sequence as outlined in the rebuild manual, but need the specific torque specs for the aluminum intake - I don't want to break it! Also, if memory serves me, isn't it their recommendation to use blue RTV on the front and rear of their intakes versus rubber gaskets? It's been a few years since I rebuilt a 351W with this same type of intake, and that literature is long gone as well. I appreciate any assistance one of you can provide. I did e-mail Edelbrock twice, but haven't gotten a reply.........................

Edelbrock recommends 25 #/ft on the intake manifold bolts which is basically the same as the specs for the factory cast iron manifold. Your call on the end seals, if your block has the holes in it for the end seals with the little rubber pins on them then they should work well although E'brock does recommend using RTV.
Also make sure you use hardened washers with the bolts so that you don't gall the aluminum manifold which not only looks bad but can mess up your torque readings.
