Lift question

My friend has an 86 bronco, fuel injected 302, auto, 3.55 posi, and we're gonna try to lift it. He's got 35's, and a 6 inch suspension lift. Me and him have limited knowledge, but we want to try and do this. We figure what the heck, try to learn something and maybe have some fun with it. How difficult is this installation, and what should we look out for? Whats the timetable for a job like this too? Thanks.

Lift question

You will need a WHOLE weekend to install it. It isn't all that difficult if you have some special tools. You will need to remove rivets which a torch comes in handy, you can also drill them or grind them, very time consuming. You will need some sockets that are over 1" ( i don't remember the exact sizes). You will also need to get a pitman arm puller and a ball joint separator. Before you even start crawl under the vechile and look at all of the suspension components while looking at the lift directions on how the brackets will be mounted.

Lift question

I lifted my '81 F150. I did the rear (blocks, I don't know what you have) by myself in a couple of hours. The front, however, I did with the help of a buddy and it took us a good half of a day. Just make sure you follow the directions and do it right. It takes some special tools (or some quick engineering) which was mentioned before. I don't have a ball joint separator, I just left everything connected. I used a gear puller to remove the pitman arm. Just make sure you follow directions and you should do fine. I would check the alignment when you are done, just to make sure.
