Seems the 2100 2 barrel carb is on its way out. 2 rebuilds and after a month or so the left venturi starts dribbling fuel again. Look down the carb throat and there it is dripping like a leaky faucet. What am I missing here? Rebuilds were done carefully and float level seems good... a bit low in the bowl- 7/8 inch from top. the mixture screws look iffy- all pitted and shiny. Maybe a pair of those off another 2100? Is this a richness issue? Venturi are clean... nothing stuck in there... This is on a 1971 F250 camper special with 360 stock engine. Thanks for your thoughts.
I am not a carb man but I have researched carbs and stayed at a Holiday Inn last night lol! After paying $250.00 to a carb man for a rebuild in Salt Lake and rebuilding the motor when I got it back to Boston. San Diego to Boston non stop with my bike and tools and buddy at high revs sucked in 3 valves and still ran! I put on the edelbrock intake with the 600 Holley, Put the 2100 in the box. thanks. as I recall now I didnt blow air through the passages last time. lesee... first rebuild not clean enough... second rebuild no air. I see what happened now. Rebuild 3 shall be by the book AND I will get a 500 or so edelbrock when I can afford it. As carbs go I like the 2100 but it is really pretty much based on holleys is it not? I know little of any carb but 2 barrel factory units. Power valve popping can happen to a 2100 just like on a holley, yes?
coza, Ya gotta make a friend with a carb person. I found a guy around the corner from me that usually takes about 3 minutes with my old Holley and I gone.

That's a really good article. I'll be using that when I rebuild my carb for certain.
