Question shocks
what are the best shocks to buy for the x? ford original or aftermarket? thanks for the info!

I am curious to this as well , since it looks like i will soon be in the market for upgraded shocks for my X. I see allot of people talking about the Rancho 9000X's , but I think i am going to look for something that is non-adjustable........

Consider the Monroe Reflex or Rancho RSX. No adjustable, but good shocks and have the impact valve in them.

Around $50 each.

OEM are the cheapest thinks that you can buy. Crap. Not worth getting otu your tools to replace them.

Try the Edelbrock IAS, they work well for me.

Doetche Tech 3000s scored very high in a shock comparo on the Excursion but I run Ranchos... (I got a good deal...) DT's are available at Summit.

You could not do any worse than the OEM shocks! Bilstein, edelbrock, doetch, monroe all are better.
