I have a small pulley on my 200 amp alt and have never had any problems. Alot of people run underdrive pulleys with a smaller alt pulley and haven't had any problems.
I don't see how you can overspin an alternator. But ive heard people ask before.
The heater motor probably draws more amps than the amplifier does. If i use higher heatersettings my gauge drops pretty far but the volt guage stays above 13.

Well most alternators have a max RPM rating. From what I understand, once you exceed those speeds, you start to have too much friction or vibration or wobbleon the shaft and or bearings... or at least I recall reading SOMETHING along those lines somewhere in my searches for information.
I could be wrong about that. I am far from an expert on any subject related to these trucks, well with the exception of how to fill your gas tank. If anyone needs any help with that I have plenty of experince, damn thirsty truck!
