Totally Confused

Just when my 4"MBRP Turbo back, no cat started to break in and sound good. I had my 04 125,000 mile truck serviced, Rotella 5-40w oil change with motor craft filter, and a trans service and now I can hardly hear my turbo at idle. My truck sounds totally different off the bottom hit of throttle What would cause this to happen?

Did you have it done at the dealer? If so did they maybe reflash it?

They would have charged to reflash an 04. If so should be on the invoice.

Come on guys someone has to have a reason why this would happen. Im telling you it almost sounds like the stock exhaust is back on the dam thing! Making me sick.... Could it be the Rotella T6 5-40w? Never ran it before.

It is not the oil. I do not have a clue on what it could be though.

The oil isn't going to change the exhaust sound.

There's a diff. between mechanical noise and exhaust noise. Syn. oil has been known to quiet down the cold start mechanical noises.

Maybe they decided to practice on your truck and did the reflash.

Work was not done at the dealer just a oil and lube shop.

Just out of curiosity, do you know for sure that they used OEM filter. If not I would get it out of there ASAP and did they use Mercon SP or LV tranny fluid. If not get that out of there. JMHO.

I purchased all the filters and fluids from ford myself. Well except for the Rotella. And the trans fluid was the SP not the LV what is the differance? Dont get me wrong the dam thing runs, shifts and mechancally sounds the best its ever has, its just the Dam Turbo/Exhaust lost sooo much
