D44HD Spicer Lock *****
Where can I get the plastic lock ***** for the large hub Dana 44 (external hub), heavy duty. They are different than the internal hub Dana 44 and the Dana 60. I read here somewhere that a Dennis Carpenter was selling them. How do I get a hold of him? I'm in the Seattle area.

Carpenter sells NOS and repro parts, is located in Concord NC: 800-476-9653.
Two types of ***** are listed on page 11 of his 1967/79 truck repro parts catalog (printed version). But there are more than two types.
If you have the Ford/Dana front axle ID tag numbers, post what they are...I'll give you the Ford part number, see if anyone has them (besides Carpenter who might not have the correct *****).
If you don't have the tag numbers, it's very difficult to look up 4WD parts for 1973 and later w/o the numbers, because there are 100's of different applications and parts lists.
1959/72, there's only a coupla parts lists.

Thank you for the information. I think I found what I need at broncograveyard.com.
I've got a custom set up with a '77 Chevy K20 Dana 44 large hub, using a '71 Dodge W100 NP205 trnsfr case, with a '66 Mercury FE 410 engine, NP435 trans, in a '68 F100. I believe for the '73-'77 Dana 44 HD large external hub, Dodge and GM used the yellow ***** that say Spicer, and Ford used the red ones that say Ford. I am hoping that the dimensions of the ***** are all the same.
