06 Escape acting up

She was driving it home and it died. The alternator was fried, so she had it towed to a local shop where they proceeded to work on it. Later they informed us they dropped the front axel to get to the alternator. On the way home it started grinding from the front end and now has no brake pressure. Grinding gets louder the faster you go and while turning. Talked to the shop about it and one employee said that they had to replace the ball joint because it was shattered. Next employee said they broke the hub and had to replace it. Think it might be the ball joint needing oiled to stop the grinding but not sure. Maybe just bleeding the lines for the brake pressure problem. Just seeing if anyone has any other theories/solutions.
Thanks for your time

You or your sister did NOT bring the vehicle into this shop with that problem.
Be courteous and tell them that. You brought the vehicle there because of the alternator problem, that was it.
If they give you a hard time, tell them you are going to sue them unless the vehicle and front end is back to the way it was when you first brought it in. Don't pander them, come straight out in a courteous way tell them that you want the vehicle fixed at their expense.
