I haven't crawled under there and measured the room I have. I was under there looking at some other stuff and came up with the idea to mount them there while I was at work. I want to make sure I have enough room to get my hands on the filters! Any idea how much room is actually there? Just a ballpark guess? I'm not opposed to putting the filters other places if necessary, I just wanted to keep them somewhat close so I could crawl under there and change all at once. I should have relatively the same amount of space you have.

You would not be able to get more than one in the area I put my transmission filter. The rail behind the transfer case has lots of room, lots of easy access, and provides a pretty safe location from road debris.

That's exactly the reason I wanted to mount them behind the transfer case. You spooked me a little about the room! I thought I had gone crazy!

Careful, those that have time..........usually don't have a job! I know your feeling, I have been pretty much told to not make any plans for the next year as far as time off. I can usually get a weekend off a month if I play it out right!
