the past two long weekends i have spent with the wife and my tomboy/assistant/granddaughter reese cleaning and reorganizing the black hole ..... and of all things started working on the truck { various lil' bits } and got the driveline pulled out this weekend Attachment 31597 and got some more of the flatty's pieces off to be tanked etc. and some degreasing . dragging the new frame i got from boley and all the brackets etc . back home this coming one . i went out tonight and while mallethead and snugs were roaming the yard , mic'd the front cam bearing { in the motor } then switched to the other mic and measured my cam and the 8cm's that i'm planning on sticking in it cam journals . well needless to say some one loves me ! my engine is in fantastic shape , no ridges , can still see some of the "hatch" marks from honing on the cylinder walls , the cam and lifters look like they were just put in ............... etc. well both the cams measured up the same on the journals . i know there's no way that should be but they did !!!!!!! i oiled up the 8cm and slid it in for a i'm curious test fit and boogied a dial indicator on the nose of the cam / front of the block , and it didn't move a whisker that i could see and i get no feel of movement / slop of any kind messing with it by hand either . welp off to look at lists of parts i want and drool and daydream . later guy's !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

way to go! sounds like you need to get coverall's for the kids and keep inviting them over.
