engine swap question
I have a question that most may think is odd but i figured i'd give it a shot.
i recenty purchased a 74 f100 as a donor for my 72 truck (disc brakes, p.steering ect..) and my wifes 68 mustang (engine and trans). the question is, since the engine swaps almost directly into the mustang shouldnt the 200 I6 swap into the truck? has anyone done this? i know its weak for the truck but the person that will be driving it is young and needs no power. i tried to sit this engine in today and the mounts do not match up, trans mount looks good and overall lengths are good (distance from mounts to trans mount, and distance from trans mount to end of tailshaft. this looks like it would work if the mounts in the truck were closer together or if the mounts on the engine were further out. i figured maybe someone would know if maybe there was another style mount i could use or something? thanks for the help..
