coolant leak

The heater core is in a box with the AC evaporator. The coolant
is probably leaking out the condensation drain in the bottom of
the box. Has your coolant level been dropping? If you pressurize
the system, you should see coolant on the ground at about the
firewall....good luck!!

I'm not sure on the cost but it's a big job.....the whole dash has to come out to replace the core

Unhappy coolant leak

My heater core is letting me know that this winter was it's last. I'll wait until this spring/summer to replace it. If I have to pull the dash, then this baby might as well get the white face gauges while I have everything apart.

if your heater core is leeakin it will most likely be wet under your passenger side floor mat.bet ya didnt check there.the H.core for my 93 f-10 5.0 was only around $20 at autozone, but from the stealer i wouldnt even want to know lol.you could always go to autozone, buy the haynes manual for your truck and see you think you can do it yourself.it usually gives good enough detail.
