Another remote starter problem
Installed a Ready Remote starter in my 96 F150 this summer. Tested it and it worked fine. Come winter time I noticed I had the wrong accessory wire hooked up, I had radio but not heat. Found correct wire and fixed that problem. Last night drove truck to work. Went to remote start it so it would be warm when I got off. I could see that it made contact as the lights would flash once, but it is supposed to then start and lights flash about 3 seconds apart to let you know it is running. I attempted it about five times before giving up. When I went out and tried the remote, lights flashed, heater on but engine didn't crank. Started it manually and drove home. Tried remote start and it worked fine. This is the second time this has happened, seems to not work after it gets so cold? Any ideas what may be wrong? Kind of defeats the whole purpose if it won't start when cold. TIA
