Shocks

I got a 4" suspension lift for my 77 f150 from broncograveyard but it didnt come with shocks. i know i need new shocks but is there any i could run the stock ones till i get the new shocks?

If you install the lift, i honestly do not think you can use the stock shocks at all...they would be way too short

Going down the new spring route and have a question. How do I measure for rear shim angle? I noticed that the current blocks seem to be flat or at least no measurable taper (5.5" front and back). I would like to get the shims all ready before install but think I need to get some angle measurements first? I was looking at the 22415 springs if that helps which should give me a 1/2 lift over what I have now without shim. Thanks.
