i just bought a 88 f250 460. it came with a after market radio that i ripped out. i tried puttin in a 1 year old alpine that worked mint when it was taken outta the last car. it didnt get any power. so i tried putting back in the old rockford foze back in and it got power but when i hooked up the speakers no sound went through at all. i tried hooking up the speaker wires to an extra speaker that i know works and nothing happened. anyone have any ideas what i should do? i have installed plenty of radios and i dont think i am doing anything wrong...
is it going into protection mode? make sure no wires are touching anything for that will trip off protection. make sure everything is crimped and taped down and make sure all connections are in their right positions...^_^
Rockford fosgate headunits are pretty rare so that leads me to believe its an amp.. But you were talking about ripping out an aftermarket radio.. So that kinda sounds like your talking about the headunit..
Are you trying to use the amp with the factory headunit(cd player/radio)??
