Difference between f100-f250 chassis

Difference between f100-f250 chassis
Im planing on building a mud truck soon, and id like to get myself a cheap 67-72 2wd truck(i aint gonna destroy a highboy), im planning on buying some old wheel loader axles to put underneath it. I was wondering what the differences were between the f100-f250 chassis, I have found a few f100s for cheap, but im not sure if that would have a strong enough frame? I plan on boxing it and putting in more cross members, but im not sure if I should use an f100.

The frame thickness is thicker on the f250's then the f100's also another thing that sets them apart are the leaf spring suspension setup the f250 has wider leaf springs over the f100's there's some threads on here that explain mote in detail of the differences

401,There is some difference between a 100 & 250 chassis but not ahellofa lot. The big differences are below.
After saying that, I think if I were building something HD I might look for an old 350 that could be cheeper than a 250.
