mirror head

did a search-nothing relevant.my 86 f150 has the swing arm style mirrors .is there any way to swap out just the mirror part out of the casing? i have two mirrors -one with good glass/one with good case/chrome).can they be worked out of the case with a small screwdriver/pik??glued in??

They definitely can be removed, I'm just not sure how. I think they are held on with glue. When I bought my donor truck the glass mirrors were in the cab and no on the mirror mount which was still attached to the door. How they got them off I do not know.

I believe they are glued, one of mine fell out.
