have 1972 f250 camp. spec. installed new steering coluem last week. (used) PROBLEM all lights work except left rear turn and brake. no power at bulb. park. light works. could it still be turn sig. switch. theres nothing to those switches what goes bad.
Is the lf front blinking? Do you have a circuit tester? Looks like an ice pick with a bulb in the handle and a wire coming out.
I would start by getting the rt side blinking then switch to the left side. Go to the rear of the truck, then under. There is a factory plug in junction off the end of the left chassis rail. Unplug it, poke the tester in each of the connections and see if one of them will flash the tester bulb. You can test the right side and the tail light while you are there.
You will know if you need to go rearward or forward from there. Give it a go and let us know.
it seems you missed part of question. all lights work except left rear tun and brake. headlights, left front turn, right front turn, right rear turn, right brake light . all worked before i put in new coluem. thats why i am so stumped. besides right now its to cold for working on lights. 16 degs.
Check and make sure some of the tabs in the turn signal switch aren't being grounded. I bought a new one a while back and a couple of them were touching one another. When I'd hit one blinker it would go on in the front and both rears would go on. I'd hit the other blinker and one in back would go on and both in front. Talk about being stumped.
I finally found a couple of the stupid terminals had twisted and were touching in there.
