We LOVE what the SCMT did for the PSD Ex, but am curious if the SCMT programming is what causes the tranny to not go into 4th gear until 45 mph????
There are many roads with speed limits BELOW 45 and I would like to get all the fuel mileage benefits of the diesel if I could !
If I get to 45 and then slow down to about 40 it will stay in 4th, but shame on me if I have to slow down any more....
Any fix for that?
Can the shift point for 4th gear be changed in the "base" 60hp mode ? Or does this option only come with the "off-road" tunning ?? I ask this becasue i also am wanting the truck to shift into 4th at a lower mph , but dont see a way to do this , due to the fact that when I load the tuner , the only option it asks me is for the top speed limiter ???????
Thanks for the Info Ken... and I still LOVE what the SCMT does for the beast, but is the 45 mph shift point from the SCMT or Ford tranny?
Well, I guess I could return it to stock to see... will let you know what I find... then maybe we can come up with a solution
Thanks...
