So just to be clear... (mainly because I'm slow) if I were to unbolt my I-6, I could drop in a 351W with different motor mounts and it would work, right? I have a 4 speed tranny.

I believe you need the frame perches that connect the motor mounts to the frame crossmember from a donor truck

There is a lot to take into consideration when doing an engine swap. You will have to change the towers. That is what the engine mounts mount to. The radiator from the six cylinder may also have to be changed, but I am not sure on that. Also, if your 4 speed tranny is a manual tranny, you need to make sure the 351W has a pilot bearing and the right flywheel. You will also run into wiring issues because regardless of whether the vehicle ignition is controlled by a computer or the Duraspark system, the systems are different for the I6 and the V8.
