Ebay headlight upgrades

Hey guys, I'm looking into purchasing some new headlights for big blue and was wonderin if anyone on here has bought 'the ebay specials' and had testimony about them?

Mainly the ones I'm looking at are the non-stock ones listed below, and well, they look a little too nice for the price tag assigned to them. I really like this set of projectors, but what they dont say is if this is the headlight casing, or a complete plug and play unit. And well, before I buy any of these I'd like to talk to someone who actually has them and see what they think. Last think I need to do is waste a couple hundred bucks on junk...

1999-2004 FORD F250 F350 PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS+CORNER BK - eBay (item 290516463232 end time Jan-03-11 14:11:46 PST)

EXCURSION F250 F350 1 PIECE LED HEADLIGHTS BLK LAMPS - eBay (item 140496009706 end time Jan-03-11 14:39:44 PST)

99-04 Ford F250/F350 LED Halo Projector Headlights BK - eBay (item 280610378120 end time Jan-03-11 17:43:09 PST)

I actually want the silver 05's, but if I could find a headlight that looked like the 07 F150 headlight to go in my truck i think it'd look great... but i havent found those yet, and these were the most comparable lol

Plus I would really like projectors, even if i have to rig them up in my fog lamps... local law enforcement frowns upon using the good ol KC Daylighters as high beams... (sigh & emotional anguish/ disgust)

we put a set of projectors from an ebay guy on my brothers 99 f250 we were both worried how it would come out but with it all installed i have to say i like the look. Came with all the bulbs just plugged it in and set the assembly in place and it was good to go.

My question on those in the first link you posted is what does the projector wire to? The socket that your stock harness plugs in to only goes to the two 9006 bulbs. The ballast behind the projector lens just has loose wires.

Anyone?

Yeah I have to admit those look like junkers. I have bought the factory knock off style from ebay and so far those look outstanding and are wearing great with no problems.

I dont have an aftermarket one here in front of me, however my approach is pin out the old harness, get an adapter with wires hanging out, then match accordingly. Sometimes the colors dont line up perfect but all that matters is you have the proper hot going to the proper bulb terminal lead, and a good ground

i beleive to use the 05-07 style HDlites in a 99-04 truck you have to modify the header panel a bit.

This is weird- My neighbor with an Excursion and i were talking this AM about this very subject-

He had an HID set up in his 2000 Ex. go belly on him. Not having the money to replace it, he had a kid at the local parts house set him up with a set of PIAA blbs that are just plug and play- they were something like $150 and he says they are ALMOST as powerful as the HID's with zero issues.

Im gonna look for them for my "new to Me" 2004.....i'll try to get a model # tomorrow for you....
