hard starting
i have a 2001 ford f150 super crew that it acts like fuel pump is bad.its hard to start have to listen to to fuel pump to inject gas then its starts runs good.when its starts it runs great.so i dont think its the fuel pump.dont no whats wrong, hope someone can help me.

I have a similar issue. Mine will turn over just fine and kinda start but not quite all the way. I wait 10-15 seconds then start and its fine. It happends every once in a while now. I was also told fuel pump, just havn't gotten a chance to test fuel pressure to confirm. Let you know after. 2003 f150 5.4 4x4

Had the same trouble
I had the same symptoms on my 2001 4x4 a couple years ago. Was intermittent and would always start when I heard the fuel pump whining, otherwise not... Mine got consistently worse and we eventually replaced the pump. My father in-law dissected it and said it was "worn out". Unfortunately had about 15 gallons of gas in the tank when we started, and could not get a siphon going due to anti-siphon in the fuel fill, so had to drain the tank through a vent which took forever...
