Firewall air leak
'95 F250 PSD RCLB 5-speed 4x4
Yeah, I know, there's a PSD section, but this is more related to the body. We've got an air leak in the firewall (I presume...) somewhere; when standing still at idle you can smell diesel exhaust in the cab. I did find one hole-plug missing a while ago, just above the go-pedal. It was removed by the PO to run some brake controller wires. I filled it (you might be a redneck if....) with Great Stuff several months ago, and that took care of that leak. But now the smell is back, and I dunno where else to look.
Are there any "common" places for leaks to appear? Any ideas on how to track it down?

i wonder if the seal at the cowl/top of firewall and hood is bad? it would let engine fumes move up to your fresh air intake in your cowl. I figured its purpose was to keep water out, but maybe it keeps smells out also...
