IAC question
I had some idle issues on my 95' 5.8. I traced it down to a bad IAC. I took it off and it did not have the spring in it. I had a spare off a 94', it had the spring as did all the pictures of them I've seen. I flushed it out with carb cleaner, blew it out and no more idle issues.
Don't all the IAC valves have a spring in them on these trucks? If they do, I know what happened to the valve on the engine I changed out!
