LOOKING TO UPGRADE??

Hey Folks,
I am looking to upgrade from a F150 screw to a F250 Diesel. Just fishing for some of y'alls opinions on which gen of F250 to lean towards. Wish I could buy new but don't want to pay 60k. After reading tons of post on the 6.0's and 6.4's I am concerned with which late model to go with. I tow a 20' enclosed hauler with my 66 Mustang in it . The 150 does ok, but I want something with more guts to it out on the interstate. Thanks for any help

I would suggest any truck from 95-2003 with the 7.3L engine. Watch out as the tranny in the 95-97 years wasn't the best but with a heavy duty rebuild or some billet parts, you'll be good to go! 99-03 had the 4R100 which is said to be an upgraded E4od but still has some issues depending on mods and how hard the truck has been worked. The later year 05-07 6.0L diesels were a little bit better. I personally had a 2006 f250 and it only had 1 FICM fail and a alternator go with 86,000 on her. Mileage wasn't the best but it was a good truck!
The later year 6.4s for 09-10 seem to be better then the job 1's from 2008. My 2010 F350 has been great thus far with 7600 miles on her thus far! I hate the DPF that the new trucks have but I guess you have to take the good with the bad! Mileage has been significant;y higher with the 6.4L compared to the 6.0L. Mileage still aint as good as what I would get from my 05 Ram 3500 Cummins though..
