dude I am sorry you went with a dodge, I had been driving dodges for 15 years, but 7k in out of pocket repairs to get my 06 to 95k miles was more than I could take. the 2010+ dodges use the same **** poor weak ball joint design as prior models. nearly all my dodges also had AC compressor issues.
dodge tends to only put stuff on their trucks after others have had it at least year. not having urea injection means the cummins is chocked down with EGR and gets very poor mileage. the dodge 6.7 is a known fuel hog.
my ford 6.7 is getting possibly better mileage than any past diesel I have owned and that includes mechanical injected cummins motors. I just haven't had much chance to run non winter fuel in the thing to really know. problems from these engines are nearly unheard of with as many out there I think victory can be declared, aside from my t case exploding I have been very happy with my ford.
I wish i talked to you before i bought! i went with the ram for the cummins and the new interior i just didnt know they built them for litty people.
The question is, can you stop Ford from finding out and voiding your warranty?
I guess I’m stuck in that 6.0 6.4 mine set that the egr etc. has to be deleted to eliminate issues! I guess time will tell is the deletes need to be done or not. I would prefer not to have to spend the money to make it reliable if everything works!

If you drive the truck mostly hwy or towing like I do you should have no problems.
I still have my orginal EGR. Never an issue. I just don't idle that much and I run it hard.
Did you check out the video's from the Ohio posting?
I likeyou bought a new 2010 ram 3500 laramie last july. I have had fords for 23 years prior. Ram was nice, engine good, but was not right for me. Drove it 6 mo and two weeks traded for new 2011 ford f 250 lariat 4x4 crewcab, 8 ft, 20's. It is so great to be back in a ford. So far so good. over 20 on highway on 4oo mi trip. Engine is quiet, very quick. Ride is little more choppy than the Dodge, but nbd. It is just right to get back in a ford. The interior is really nice, plenty of room, etc. Im black on black with 20's.
good luck if you hang with the ram. We will see with the new ford engine. Riding a warrenty either way.
Well folks I picked the new truck up on the 3rd of july and had the most wonderfull 6 months with it. This truck goes to work with me every day, I work for a Pulp mill so this thing is in the bush alot. It will turn over 45000 km this week. It has been through the 30 below days, 30 above days, idling for hours when it's to cold to turn off, starts like it's 20 above when it is 20 below not plugged in. My secret is to service in well, use fuel from a high volume dealer, change the filters often, and drive it with respect. This is my 3rd superduty and they have got this one Right.
I hope all the guys that buy and pay huge dollars for these things have the same satisfaction that I have had.
