6.8 power help please

I had a 99 v10 with automatic trans. and it pulled and ran great, good fuel milage. I bought an 05 v10 with the torque shift trans. and it is a pooch no power bad fuel mpg and while pulling it raps the rpms and is tough to run 65 mph. The truck runs smooth but I thought the newer more hp 6.8
would run better but thus is not the case. Both trucks are SD F250 4x4's
Any help please?

Axle ratio, Maybe.

same config ???

you might wanna try a tuneup on ur new truck cuz that engine/trans combo is easily WAY more powerful then any 99.
