Spider gear explosion
Guys I have a Dana 44 with 4.10s in the front and I blew the spider gear out of it. the ring gear and pinion gear seem fine, but the spider gears and gone. Any ideas what I am looking at for costs to repair? any suggestions for getting it fixed in Calgary Alberta?

I'm not familiar with the Dana, but I repaired an 8.8 with broken spider gears a couple years ago. I just took off the cover, replaced the spider gears and pin with good used parts from the local transmission shop and put it back together, after cleaning it up a little. I figured the magnet will catch any steel grit I missed, and advised the owner to change the oil soon.
