damn.. E40d took a dump.

playing in what little mud we ever get in tucson my tranny decided to sh#% on me.

no forward gears only reverse, crackling noice at first now nothing.
toasted?

opinions? if i buy a used one what do i look for to see if its still good?

what years will work with mine?

will i have to change parts out if i get say a 93? e40d? or any other year?

A 93 E4OD is not as strong a transmission as a 96 E4OD.
Unless the parts inside have been updated.

thats no good...
theres one in tucson for 200 for a 93.
anything else?
does it sound like the trany is toasted? or am i missing something.
wishfull thinking?

But for the record when my transfer case broke my truck would go forward but not backards but that is a very rare occurence, so dont get your hopes up.
