Hey guys, i am in the process of buying a new 60 gal. tank/tool box combo for my truck. It is gravity feed and i think I am going to put an electric valve and hook to uplifter swicth for operation. Just wondering if anyone has done this or any problems ? My truck is a S/C XLT long bed so I have 37 gal. tank and that is why the Titan does not appeal to me as I would only gain 14 gallons.

"gravity feed"
Do you have a make / model? I didn't think these were made.
RDS out of Perry, Florida. Yeah, can order thru Northern Tool. I am getting ready to buy my second RDS. Great products. I used the gravity feed kit and also a 12 V. on/off solenoid mounted near the tank. Works great!!
My first RDS was a 30 gal fuel and tool. I'm selling this and buying just a plain 69 gal RDS tank. No tool. My 2011 cab/chassis is going to have alum bed with twin underbed boxes. Hence doing away with the tool portion of the fuel tank. I've loved my RDS tank, that's why I'm buying another. The price is quite competitive and the quality is outstanding. Old fuel/tool for sale.
I forgot to add. I ordered my 12 volt fuel shutoff valve from
12voltfuelvalves.com
This is Dan-Marc, I just told Dan what I was doing and he suggested the valve to order and it works great. A very nice guy to talk to and prices are great. Hope this helps...
Hey jim48,
Thought I would take a second to throw out a recommendation for posting your e-mail address.
Type it out as: jlharmon [at] sutv [dot] com
Most will know what the [at] and [dot] means.
I can't stand e-mail spam to an extreme and spam bots crawl the internet looking for addresses in the e-mail address format.
Isn't "gravity fed" not technically dot legal? I know its the way everyone used to do it before all this new systems. I like the old transfer flow system where'd you flip a switch and would work like a/b system. I thought of looking for a 37-ish gallon tank with this system so when I flipped my "miles to empty" would still be pretty accurate. Downside not enough fuel capacity to justify loosing bed space.
