dana 60 front

There is a junkyard near me that has a dana 60 front end 4 10 gears. they want 900 bucks..how much is a dana 60 front end worth...also do camper sp>>> have dana 60 front ends?

one more thing...what are the biggest tires I would be able to put under a unlifted highboy without problems...thanks

I had a '76 Hiboy with no lift on 38.5 Ground Hawgs which measured around 37"s, no rubbing or problems of any type.

In my area, $900.00 isn't a bad price, I have seen them as high as $1500.00. If it's in good shape and complete with rotors and calipers, and steering parts, I'd go for it. If it would need the rotors or calipers replaced, I'd try to deal with him.

I've got a 76 f-250 w/390 4spd i'm not sure if it's a dana 60 or 44 in the front how can I tell ?

The way I tell the two apart is the D70 front will have 4 bolts in a square pattern holding the pitman arm to the axle housing while the D44 will have 3 bolts. Hope this helps.
