I own a 1999 F150 with a long wheel base. The truck has a 4.6 V8. I noticed that my temperature gauge is not at the usuall position (its lower) and the heater is not putting the normal intensity of heat. I have replaced the Thermostadt and replace the coolant. Wondering if anyone has a suggestion. If I replace the coolant temp sensor will that be the fix?
I replaced the thermostadt. Still the same problem?
Might be a faulty temp sensor.
what temp of T-stat did you replace with?? 180* or 192*, or195*...make sure you get the correct one for your application.
did you flush the radiator when changing coolant?...you may have removed some gunk in the radiator in the process and now is just better able to cool...IDK?
you may have air pocket stuck and need to re bleed the system
