Whats the difference?

Ok so I have read in this forum that I shouldnt buy a lift kit from Rough Country. What about Tuff Country, Super Lift, and SkyJacker? What really makes any of them so different. Oh in case it matters I have a 89 F250 HD 7.5L auto 4x4 ext cab. I'm just looking for a good 4" lift kit for my truck. Let me know what you think of these brands. Whats better then the other or if there is another brand I don't know about. Thanks

When picking a lift kit you need to compare them side by side. See what kit offers the most components for the money. Does the kit you wish to buy include all the hardware needed? Shocks? Leaf sprung lifts ... do the kit have new springs, add a leaf, or blocks? Droped pitman arm? if you need longer brake flex lines .. are they in the kit?

Not only should you look at the cost of the kit... you need to factor in the cost of what ever you need to finish the install of said kit. ( what ever is missing be it hardware, shocks, bushings, ect. )

Lastly but not the least important is quality of the parts, the ride quality (if that is important to you) and, ease of install of said kit. Make sure the kit has easy to follow install instructions or at least a good tech line to call for help.... If its open on the weekend and evenings when you most likely will be installing the kit.

I have installed a few superlift kits over the years and have been very happy with them all.
