Thank you 03 Maz B23 and projectSHO89 for helping me through this very frustrating repair.
I have located the module behind the passenger side kick panel, and disconnected the connector. I checked the resistance between the P/LB and the BK/W on the plug that connects to the module. Hopefully this is indeed the procedure outlined in post 11. The resistance there is reading 1 Ohm on my meter, well below tolerances. Here is a pic of the plug that I got the readings on. I have to say, that is an awkward place for a 6'6 260 pound guy with bad knees to be working!
If what I did is incorrect please let me know. Oh, a side note, every time I did anything to the air bag system, the battery was disconnected.
Regarding clearing the module, I have not looked into the procedures yet, but I did try the 256 on off thing, which did not get rid of the light. I turned the key on and shut it off after about 5 seconds, 256 times. I am close to insanity due to the dinging!

Reason: putting pic in
This is still not fixed, I took it to the garage and they put it on the scanner to clear the code. It picked the code back up again.
I am going to recheck the resistance in the circuit.
There are 2 connectors to the ABDM. Which one has connector C1-18 Circuit 570 (BK/W)?
There is a BK/W on each connector.
I have ordered a shop manual, in the meantime is there anyone who can hook me up with a wiring diagram? The only manual I have is a Haynes and it is horrible.
wow my airbag light came on one day when I tried turning off the passenger side. didn't know there was any signifiance of the flashes...so I saw this thread and just went to check mine out. it is a 2 and then a 7. which the code doesn't have on it...so now I have to find out what that means...thanks for this thread
