I just joined this site. I aquired a 1984 F150 this summer from my church, was their plow truck from when they had a school. The truck sat for about 7 years before I put it back on the road. It has the 4.9 300 L6 with a 4 spd trans and 4 X 4. It also came with a Fisher Speedbor plow. So far I have changed the cooling system, the charging system, dist. gave it a tune up, new tires and rims and a tailgate (came with one that was rusted out and very bent). It is a work in progress/ daily driver.
If there is one complaint I may have about it, it is that the carb was modified to a manual choke, which takes some getting used to. Overall not in too bad of shape for it's age, body needs a little TLC (rust) as does the interior but nothing too major. I'm thinking about painting it Navy blue, and maybe a lighter blue on top.
That's a little about my truck. MAybe sometime I can post some pictures of it.
