Powdercoat question
Does anyone have any powder coat experience? Could you powdercoat a master cylinder exterior alone with the cap and not have any brake fluid affect the coating if some happens to get on to it?

Brake fluid should not cause any damamge to properly applied powder. It is a good, durable finish but it cannot be touched up as paint can. Also for larger parts get a sample of the color. I learned that the hard way on a chassis that turned out much different than the color chip.

Dman, We do powder at my shop and it is highly resistant to chemicals like brake fluid. Now with that being said, brake fluid WILL eat powdercoat slower than it would eat paint. I powdercoated my Wilwood calipers and M/C and they look great. I had a bad seal on one of the calipers and it would leak a couple drops a night and where it dripped the fluid had a tint of green (the color of the powder). FWIW- having no access to powder coating where i live i have resorted to using epoxy paints on under the cab stuff. will not fade or stain and stays shiny forever. as i have no experience in powder coating but a lot in painting i have done it this way. Dutch
