Pan basher!

I have a 77 f150 2wd with a 390 4wd moter in it (yes I put a rear sump pan in a 2wd truck) . I want to lower the truck 3in due to the prvious owners obsesion with a lifted truck he put in a 3in body lift, but if I drop the truck it will have clearance problems with the stearing shafts and will bash the bottom of the pan. is thair any way to lift the moter or relocate the stearing assembily with out changing back to a front sump pan?

A body lift "reversal" should not change the position of the motor. The motor is secured to the frame. Did the PO lift the engine?

No the moter wasn't lifted before he just put a body lift on it but he welded a fuel cell to the flat bed so if I drop the body the flat bed will sit ubove the back window.
