Infotainment systems
I am planning an infotainment system, carputer, or whatever you want to call it for my 99 SD CC.
I think I will gut the stereo and climate control area to get a 8" touch panel to replace those functions plus a whole lot more. Nav unit , media center, back up camera, control for rear units for kids, back up mirror control, and whatever else I can dream up. I have a friend who did this to a
66 mustang and it looks great.
Question. Anybody tackle this yet? Relays, climate control sw plug INS for some of the functions, more ideas?
I am getting started with sw from mp3car.com. Neat site but nobody is doing fords there. At least not yet.
Shoot ideas out. And I will do what I can to document the process.
