Thanks,,fortunately my 79 F100 runs like a top so not having the 4x4 running not a big deal, although it would be nice to have 4x4 this winter in NW Ontario,,I just need a 4x4 to get my boat out of the lake,,,2x4 just dont cut,,gotta carry comealongs
Okay Kids,,the accellerator pump diaphram had a pinhole in it,,,,I would have thought that would have been included in the rebuild kit,,,NOT SO.
So when you rebuild your carb or as I did have someone else do it,,replace that diaphram....I had the guy bring the carb back to me 3 times before he finally figured it out,,,,good thing I only had to pay for one rebuild...Once he told me what the problem was I remembered having a similar problem with the holley on my 68 firechicken,,,finally tossed the holley and replaced with a roachester...
Now after browsing the forum I want to replace the intake manifold with a 4 bbl and install and edelbrock 500...got one on my 41 IHC and it is an awesome carb
Thanks for all the feedback!
